Henry Worsley on his solo unaided trek across Antarctica

From Nine To Noon, 9:31 am on 24 December 2015

Henry Worsley is attempting something no one has ever managed before, to become the first person to cross the Antarctic continent alone, unsupported, and unassisted.

He  is dragging all his own gear on a sled and is about half way through his 80 day expedition.

His fascination for the continent was inspired by one of his ancestors, Frank Worsley who captained The Endurance on Ernest Shackleton's ill-fated Expedition.

Henry Worsley, is a retired British army officer, and is undertaking the journey to raise at least 100,000 pounds for the Endeavour Fund to help his wounded colleagues. see shackletonsolo.org
