The Walking Access Commission: what has it achieved?

While there are many conservation areas for people to enjoy in New Zealand's natural recreation resources there is often pressure to expand access, particularly with booming tourism numbers putting pressure on existing routes to rivers, lakes and sea.The Walking Access Commission was set up in 2008 to establish and improve walking access routes.
