Feature guest - Warwick Thornton
Warwick wrote his film 'Samson and Delilah' from his own knowledge of Aboriginal communities and what he calls 'not the Stolen Generation, but the Lost Generation'. He made it real by including his own brother, not only a trained actor but also a lifetime alcoholic playing the unforgettable role of a homeless man. The film won the Camera D'Or at Cannes Film Festival, and also screened here at the NZFF. It's due for general release here in early October.
