Juliane Koepcke - sole-survivor of an Amazon plane crash

From Nine To Noon, 10:06 am on 17 June 2011

Juliane Kopcke was the sole survivor of a plane crash over the Amazon in 1971. The daughter of two prominent zoologists, she was training to be a zoologist herself, and was travelling to Peru on a flight with her mother. The plane crashed into the Amazon rainforest killing everyone else on board. Now Dr Juliane Diller, she tells us her incredible story of survival, her career as a mammalogist specialising in bats, and why she continues to return to Peru.
