Senior fellow at the influential Brookings Institution think-tank, Thomas Mann's taught at universities such as Princeton and John Hopkins, conducted polls for congressional candidates and chaired the Board of Overseers of the National Election Studies. He's also written numerous books including the recently-released It's Even Worse Than It Looks, which made waves because it seemed to argue the core of Washington's political dysfunction lies with the Republican Party.
