Hamilton-born and raised Kimbra Johnson has had an incredible 2012 - the song 'Somebody That I Used to Know', on which she collaborated with Australian artist Gotye, reached number 1 in the US, and has just become the biggest selling single of 2012 in the UK with 1.28 million copies sold there; the accompanying video has had more than 352 million views on YouTube. Kimbra's own album, Vows, had its US release, debuting at number 14 on the Billboard Top 100 album chart. Earlier this month she was named the best female artist at Australia's premier music awards, the ARIAs, for the second year in a row.
