Founder of Whitestone cheese in Oamaru. He turned to cheese making as a way of diversifying away from farming during the rural downturn in the 1980s. The award-winning company, best known for its flagship Windsor Blue, now employs over 50 staff and includes a viewing room, cheese deli and shop.
