Marty Duda's artist of the week - Wire

From Nine To Noon, 11:07 am on 12 February 2014

Wire emerged as one of the most creative and influential "post-punk" bands to come out of the UK in the late 1970s. Their first three albums, Pink Flag (1977), Chairs Missing (1987) and 154 (1979) are all considered essential. After several breakups and reunions, the original band, minus guitarist Bruce Gilbert, is still going strong, with a new album, Change Becomes Us, released last year. They are due to appear at Auckland's King's Arms on Monday, February 17th.
