Feature: Svante Pääbo - The DNA Hunter

From Nine To Noon, 10:10 am on 20 March 2014

Geneticist Svante Pääbo has been called the DNA hunter. He has sequenced the entire neanderthal genome and proved that early humans mated with neanderthals after we moved out of Africa. He has also uncovered the existence of a previously unknown human species, called the Denisovans, from DNA extracted from a finger bone found in a cave in Siberia.
