Her debut album reached Number 1 in the UK classical charts and number 8 on the pop charts when she was just 16. It went on to sell more than two million copies making her a household name throughout most of Europe and Japan as well as here. Not all of her achievements have been in music; she's the youngest ever UNICEF ambassador, an Ambassador for Save the Children - Hong Kong, patron of the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre in Auckland, and she is now the vice-president of the Vera Lynn Trust, in support of children with cerebral palsy.
