Queensland's Ark ( 52′ 39″ )
Australia's Gold Coast is growing and sprawling at an alarming rate. It's hot, it's beaches and landscapes are beautiful, and it's also home to some of the Lucky Country's unluckiest animals. They've become victims of the state's popularity, losing their habitats to new housing developments, and being injured and killed on the increasingly busy roads. In the heart of suburbian Gold Coast is a sanctuary for hurt and homeless animals, from kangaroos to koalas which are facing extinction in the state. Lynn Freeman went to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary armed with a microphone and a curiosity about Australia's endangered creatures.
