8:12 Alan Hart
Nelson-based geologist Alan Hart has worked on the frontline of the oil industry for over 30 years. Since 2006, he has been on the board of directors of a US-registered company, Sentry Petroleum Ltd, which is concentrating on petroleum exploration efforts in New Zealand, Australia and South-East Asia. For the last five years, he has been giving free lectures to civic groups, schools and business organisations on the impending petroleum crisis.
8:40 Leilani Rickard
Leilani Rickard is a weaver who lives in Rotorua. She was first taught how to make piupiu in the 1970s when she was employed as a permanent guide at Whakarewarewa. Her first book, How to Make a Piupiu (Raupo, ISBN: 978-014-3009450-0) is dedicated to her four grandchildren.
The interview generated discussion about flax bicycles and bamboo bicycles.
9:05 John Reynolds
One of New Zealand's foremost painters and printmakers, John Reynolds represented New Zealand last year at the Sydney Biennale with his work Cloud. Based in Auckland, he was one of the 2006 Arts Foundation of New Zealand laureates, and his work is held in all major private and public New Zealand collections. A new limited edition book, Certain Words Drawn (Godwit, ISBN-13: 9781869621490), edited by University of Auckland professor Laurence Simmons, brings together examples of his recent work and practice alongside a range of essays.

10:05 Greg Clydesdale
Economist Greg Clydesdale, of Massey University's management and international business department, is the author of a controversial report looking at the New Zealand economy and the impact of immigration from different cultures. It will be presented at a conference in Brazil in July. He is also the author of a study into how internal competition enhanced the Beatles’ creative productivity, and the arranger and producer of a new CD, Legacy (Legacy/Triton), which features vocalist Kerry Glockling and updated versions of cantatas by J.S. Bach.
11:05 Jay Rayner
Award-winning British journalist and broadcaster Jay Rayner is currently restaurant critic and feature writer for the Observer, and the author of three novels, including 2004’s The Apologist. He relates his journey to extraordinary restaurants across the globe in The Man Who Ate the World (Headline Review, ISBN: 978-0-7553-1822-3).
11:40 Paul Tobin and Daniel Falconer
The new Weta Workshop book, The Crafting of Narnia: The Art Creatures and Weapons from Weta Workshop (HarperCollins, ISBN: 978-0-06-145635-0), was conceived and art directed by Paul Tobin, and written by Daniel Falconer. On Sunday 15 June, to celebrate the premiere of the Prince Caspian film, you can meet the artists and craftspeople who helped bring Narnia to life at the Weta Cave in Miramar, Wellington, between 1:00 and 4:00pm.

Great Encounters - Dr John Sentamu
A repeat of Kim Hill's interview from 13 March 2010.
Dr John Sentamu is the 97th Archbishop of York, the second most senior Anglican leader in the Church of England. Formerly a high court judge in Idi Amin's Uganda, he fled to the UK in 1974, and became the first black archbishop in the Church of England in 2005. He is visiting New Zealand for the consecration of a new cathedral, formerly the parish church of St Mary's in New Plymouth, as the centre of the recently formed Bishopric of Taranaki within the Diocese of Waikato.
