Welsh performers Buddug James Jones and Max Mackintosh, with violin accompanist David Grubb, are touring New Zealand into November with their acclaimed show Hiraeth, created with director Jesse Briton. It tells the story of Jones’ departure from her Welsh farm to London. Hiraeth, supported by British Council New Zealand, Show Pony, and Wales Arts International, has played in the Christchurch Arts Festival and Wanaka, is currently in Wellington (to 3 October), and will travel to Putararu, New Plymouth, Kokomai Creative Festival Wairarapa, Nelson Arts Festival, Tauranga Arts Festival, and Auckland.

11:05 Martin Creed

Martin Creed is an English-born, Glasgow-raised artist who won the Turner Prize in 2001 for Work No. 227: the Lights Going On and Off. Since then, he has exhibited widely in Italy, Germany, Canada, France, Japan, the United States and the UK. He is visiting New Zealand to launch a major new public commission on the exterior of the Christchurch Art Gallery, and to make a show of new work at the Michael Lett Gallery in Auckland.
