Ever heard of equine etiquette ? Neither had we, but you might say that's what Steve Houston teaches in the heart of Mid Canterbury. Steve doesn't like the term 'horse whisperer' but he's forged a name for himself as a man who can tame a wayward horse, or, as he puts it, teach it some manners.

Steve has clients in the United States and Canada and shares his knowledge at clinics for horse owners around New Zealand. But most of his work is still done in his Mayfield horse pen, where, one on one with each horse, he nuts out the problems to help his charge get by in the modern world.
