10:06 The Sunday Group: Political Junkies

It's been a great week for political junkies. We've seen tears and triumph as the US made history by electing its first African-American president, and closer to home our own political leaders have pushed for the top job. In today's Sunday Group we'll reflect on the race for the White House, the battle for the Beehive - and where to from here. To talk about the week that was, Chris Laidlaw is joined by Professor Nigel Roberts and Dr Jon Johansson from Victoria University's political science department; and Radio New Zealand's own Geoff Robinson who's just back from covering the US election.
Produced by Christine Cessford

10:40 Hidden Treasures

Each week Trevor Reekie takes you on a trip that seeks out musical gems from niche markets around the globe, the latest re-releases and interesting sounds from the shallow end of the bit stream. This week Trevor takes us on a musical tour that includes Death Ray Boogie and the blues; and checks out the new album from Steve Earle, who is in Aotearoa this week.
