We take a comprehensive look at Indonesia's Melanesian territory of Papua on the 40th anniversary of its annexation. The people of the province, formerly known as West Irian, have all the while been subjected to a lack of self determination, no ability to voice their concerns and no equal share in the proceeds from mineral wealth generated in the region. And all the while, the world seemingly ignores their plight.
