The traditional Maori method of cooking food in the ground, or a Hangi, forms the basis of an experiment lead by Dr Gillian Turner who measures the magnetization of the Hangi Stones, once cooled. Justine Murray learns more about the project held at Waiwhetu, Te Maori gallery, Lower Hutt and while there she meets Ron Te Kawa, a Fabric artist whose unique designs are building up a loyal customer base.
