The Maori Growers Forum chair has signed an open letter opposing class action which aims to sue the government over the Kiwifruit PSA outbreak. The South Island iwi Ngai Tahu has made a record net profit of 146-million dollars for the year to June, which it says reflects the value of having a wide range of investments. Ngati Porou kaumatua, Apirana Mahuika, has been honoured by the Police Commissioner for helping the force uphold its commitment to tangata whenua.
