A large Whanganui Maori land incorporation has accumulated more than one-and-a-half-million dollars of unclaimed dividends due to what it says are beneficiaries falling off its radar. The people of a Northland Marae, which was ravaged by fire, will decide this weekend whether to give their blessing for the more than two-million dollar rebuild to go ahead. A Hamilton-based Maori health provider is confident a nearby bank that's opened will help its clients to get out of debt and stay away from loan sharks. The North Island's Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency says a lack of money led to many good providers missing out in a recent funding round.
