A Maori physician says the rise in prescription charges means whanau will be forced to choose between spending on medicines and putting food on the table; Meanwhile, a Maori health researcher says the prescription charge increase will hit smokers who want to quit; A southern Taranaki iwi says the public needs to get the message that Maori customary rights to the foreshore and seabed are about protecting and sustaining fisheries for all New Zealanders; not excluding people access to the beaches; Conservationists in Northland have launched a campaign to save the native wood pigeon.
