The Waitangi Tribunal will today be told the Crown should return thousands of hectares of East Coast land to a Maori authority; The Maori Women's Welfare League is being urged to be more careful when it sets up new branches; Two Maori organisations are offering to buy two of the former Crafar farms, which are now owned by the Chinese company Shanghai Pengxin; The new Iwi Education Authority is promising to go further than previous attempts to set up an educational body for Maori - and is pledging not to fail.
