The Waitangi Tribunal's been told there are three different ways of resolving water ownership claims; The Federation of Maori Authorities expects an agreement it's reached with Industrial Research Limited, to significantly speed up Maori business innovation; Ngati Porou on the East Coast is one iwi which has been pro-active in initiating research projects; The director of Te Rau Matatini, the National Maori Health Workforce Development Organisation, says one of their important strategies is to try and teach more Maori about health issues, especially their understanding of diseases such as diabetes.
