Members on the Kohanga Reo National Trust will continue overseeing Maori pre-schools for now, despite it's subsidiary, Te Pataka Ohanga, facing allegations of financial mismanagement; The Transport Agency is appealing against a Maori Land Court decision giving special protection to ancestral land earmarked for a major highway north of Wellington; Meanwhile....the Green Party is calling the Public Works Act an instrument of destruction; Farm run-off and people driving their vehicles along the beach are being blamed for a decline in shellfish numbers and diversity along the Horowhenua coast.
