New tenets for tenants

From The House , 10:35 pm on 27 July 2017

Unlike real estate, legislation is seldom focussed on street appeal. Laws with soporific names can be packed with important and unexpected details.

The Residential Tenancies Amendment Bill (No. 2), is currently being discussed by Parliament, and includes rules changes on P contamination, tenant liability for property damage and what kinds of properties can come under the tenancy tribunal.

The House asked the Minister in charge of the proposed legislation to outline the bills intentions.
