Kirsten Johnstone and Nick Atkinson found out when the notoriously tight-jean wearing group played Laneway recently. After relocating to Oakland the artist known as tUnE-yArDs (Merrill Garbus) honed her unique solo set that blends all manner of loops and riffs to form a sound that had a local Kings Arms crowd in raptures when she performed there recently. Kirsten Johnstone welcomes tUnE-yArDs into the studio to record a live session with her trusty tenor ukulele.
