Topics - New Zealand's terror threat level isn't being raised, as a result of the shootings at Canada's Parliament. But, there have been swift changes to security at New Zealand's parliament - now only two entrances will be open for MPs, staff and the general public, and they will be heavily monitored. The main door to the Beehive will remain open - that's where people must pass through a security screen - and the entry to Bowen House from Lambton Quay will stay open. The chairman of Vector, Michael Stiassny, has more or less said "tough" to Aucklanders about power cuts, power outages are a part of life and people should get used to it and plan for them.
