We discussed this topic once last year when it emerged that people with elite surnames tend to stay rich through the centuries, contrary to the wisdom like the first generation making money, the second generation enjoying it, the third generation squandering it all and then obscurity. A former police inspector has avoided a drink-driving conviction after pleading it would disrupt his important work as a senior public servant. Geoffrey Gwyn was a Lower Hutt police inspector till 2010, and has been discharged without conviction after he was caught driving erratically and over the alcohol limit. In Australia the Greens and saying Christmas shoppers should not buy gender based toys for children.
