A five-part reading of Michael Morrissey’s frank description of two serious bipolar episodes is told in a riveting and lively manner.
It describes a trip to a Malaysian wedding, an encounter with a tiger and time in psychiatric wards. In the course of the story we learn a great deal about the writer’s family history and share in the highs and lows of his struggle to overcome a serious illness. It’s an honest and moving account, read by the author.
Michael Morrissey is an Auckland writer and teacher who has published twenty books of poetry and fiction.
