Then at 12.40pm I'll head to the supermarket with scientist Wendy Nelson...toothpaste, ice cream, stuffed olives and corned beef all have a common ingredient. OK I'm not giving it away yet but the answer comes from the sea and will surprise you.
After the news at 1:15pm the 'prepper' movement in the US. Preppers are basically people doing everything from growing their own veggies to generating their own power to prepare for whatever version of Armageddon they believe in!
At 1:25pm the lines between the internet and the TV are blurring with services like You Tube, Hulu and TV-on-demand. But an important difference is they're all still accessed differently to live broadcast TV - you use an internet browser to watch or download and not the tuner in your telly. Project Canvas is a proposed new standard for getting TV over the internet really happening - it's next generation Freeview.
Then at 1:35pm we'll head to New York where the 107th American International Toy Fair has just been held. Games buff Tim Walsh looks at some of the 100,000 toys and games on display.
And we go nuts at 1.50pm and this week the pecan with Alison Sandle.
