THE SMALL PRINT
First up this week a cost effective way to lose weight without doing very much at all really. It's been clinically trialled and seems to work. We'll have full details of a revolutionary weight loss system, involving a wonder substance called dihydrogen monoxide.
Then at about 12:20pm we start a new series looking at the fish we eat. This week a popular recreational species that's worth $36 million in exports. It's actually a sea bream but we call it the snapper.
Then before the news at 12:45pm one man's dream to recycle all the plastic floating in our oceans to build a self-sufficient island that will be home to 500,000 people. We're speaking to Dutch architect Ramon Knoester about his recycled island project. Plus Kara Lavender Law of the Sea Education Association's the lead author of a 22-year study analyzing the rubbish ending up in the Atlantic Ocean.
After the news, Nicholas Christakis is a Professor of Sociology at Harvard who studies how our social networks operate. He looks at the connections we have with friends, relatives, workmates, loved ones and friends of friends - and analyses these social connections to see how they affect our happiness, our health, and even our weight.

Then at about 1:45pm our regular tech commentator Bill Thompson beams in with details of a proposed new law in Germany which restricts employers' abilities to check up on potential new staff members online. Googling them is OK but their Facebook account is a no-no apparently! Plus Google makes a move into the world of internet telephony and we've got a few details of Samsung's new tablet computer to challenge the iPad.
