Two men are to appear in Queenstown District Court in relation to the armed robbery and hijacking of a vehicle in the town.
Police alleged a man armed with a knife walked into Henry's Liquor Store in Shotover Street just before 7pm yesterday and demanded cash.
They said the man ran from the store with some money and, still holding a knife, took a car off a member of the public.
Police followed the car and detained one person in the Mooney Road area. Another man was arrested later in the same area, after a search involving a helicopter and a police dog squad.
