Fonterra is pushing on with a business relationship with startup company Job Done, after it won a pitch competition this week at Auckland's innovation precinct.

Job Done, founded by Manawatu farmer Nigel Taylor, offers a new workforce management and productivity app that allows farmers to track their workers' location in real time, using GPS.

The app is designed to help with compliance and reduce the need for paperwork such as timesheets.

Fonterra farmer Olin Greenan, who tested the app and gave feedback to the company, said it had great promise, and allowed employers to have more instant information and data to run a more efficient business.
