New Zealand firefighters helping contain fires in the United States will stay on for another two weeks.
Firefighters from New Zealand and Australia have been asked to extend their deployment as fires continue to burn in many areas of tinder-dry Washington State.
The 15 firefighters left Auckland two weeks ago and have been mainly based to the north of the city of Spokane.
