The NZ Transport Agency is asking drivers to slow down and take extra care driving through Warkworth this week.
Road crews are pulling all-nighters, working from 7pm to 7am over the next four nights to finish road surfacing at the entrance to The Grange retail park.
The NZ Transport Agency's Network Performance Manager Tim Crow said drivers should watch their speeds approaching the works, especially driving into Warkworth from the south.
"Slight delays can be expected as the developers will have Stop-Go traffic control in place through the work site," he said.
"We've installed visual messaging boards warning motorists about the road works, and we're asking them to slow down and take care."
