Searchers have found the body of a man at Bottle Lake plantation near Christchurch.
The body has not yet been formally identified, but police and search and rescue staff had been looking for a 48-year-old Christchurch man, Gary Elliot, since yesterday.
His vehicle was found at the forest park and the police had said they had concerns for his safety.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
