Prime Minister John Key will head to the United Nations in New York next week to meet with an expected 160 other leaders at the General Assembly.
He says it will be a busier than normal meeting as it will include the adoption of Sustainable Development Goals and will mark the 70th anniversary of the UN.
Mr Key will also attend American President Barack Obama's leaders' summit on countering Islamic State and violent extremism.
The Prime Minister will also hold a formal and informal meetings at the UN, as well as with the New York business community.
