A 34-year-old man is to appear in the Nelson District Court today facing multiple charges - including presenting a firearm - after an incident in Richmond yesterday.
Nelson police said the man was arrested after the incident outside the Richmond Mall, and they were seeking witnesses who saw what happened.
The man also faces a charge of burglary, over the theft of puppies from the Hokitika SPCA last weekend.
