A man is in a serious condition in Auckland's Middlemore Hospital after the car he was driving hit a power pole in Manurewa and ended up on its roof.
Power lines were left lying across the road after the Russell Road crash about 4pm.
The police said lines company Vector had tidied up the power lines.
