A Hamilton woman has been charged with aiding two people on the run for a few days, following a fatal shooting in February.

Michael Thompson was shot in the face at close-range, in an incident in the suburb of Melville that began as a verbal argument.

Tyson-Tainui Rukuwai-Te Temo, 17, was found guilty last week of murdering the 49 year-old.

Mana Williams, 18, was found not guilty of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

A 47-year-old woman has been charged with being an accessory after the fact of murder.

Police said her arrest should serve as a warning to others considering helping fugitives avoid capture.
