A man has been airlifted to Christchurch Hospital after falling 10 metres down a cliff near Taylor's Mistake.
A Fire Service spokesperson said the fisherman was on a track heading to Black Rocks, when he fell and landed on rocks below.
The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
