Nelson police have arrested a man and a woman after a serious assault in the driveway of a Richmond home on Friday night.
A police spokesperson said the arrests came after a search of a Richmond address this morning.
A 35-year-old Richmond woman is to appear in the Nelson District Court next week on charges on a number of serious charges, while a 33-year-old Richmond man faces charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The man is now in custody and will appear in court tomorrow.
The incident occurred about 11pm on Friday in the driveway of the victim's home.
