Nelson police and the Fire Service are at the scene of a caravan fire in which one person is believed to have died.
They were called at about 8pm to the fire at the Waimea Town and Country Club in Richmond.
The police believe a person was inside the caravan at the time of the fire.
A scene guard will be in place overnight.
