The man whose body was found in the Waikato River at Huntly on Saturday has been identified.
He was Stephen Marc Tobin, 34, of Waihi.
His death has been reported to the Coroner.
Police in Hamilton are still investigating, and said they were focussed on finding out how Mr Tobin's body came to be in the river.
