Police in Cromwell are still scratching their heads over how a $14,000 watch ended up in a tree.
A family found it last week when they saw a magpie fly from a tree and leave something shiny behind.
On closer inspection, they found an expensive watch hanging in the tree and took it to the Cromwell police station.
Police say anyone with information about the watch can contact them there.
