A man has gone to prison for 15 months for his part in a drive-by shooting in Motueka earlier this year.
Gavin John Tait was sentenced in the Nelson District Court yesterday after a jury earlier found him guilty of being party to unlawful possession of a shotgun.
Tait was driving the vehicle involved in the shooting, but the jury could not agree on a verdict on whether he was also party to discharging the weapon.
He was later found guilty at a re-trial.
