A hunter reported missing near Tarawera in Hawke's Bay has been found.
A rescue helicopter was sent to the area after an emergency locator beacon was activated by two hunters staying in a hut yesterday evening .
Police said the hunter was found this morning, but a spokesperson was unable to give further details.
