The search for a climber missing on Aoraki-Mt Cook has been suspended.

Stephen Dowall, 52, went missing last Thursday while tramping with a friend from Mt Cook village to the Empress Hut on Hooker Glacier.
The pair became separated and Mr Dowall did not make it to the hut.
Mid-South Canterbury police commander Dave Gaskin said another search yesterday found no trace of Mr Dowall, so it had been decided to suspend the search.
He said it was likely Mr Dowall had fallen into a crevasse on the first night he was reported missing.
