Man charged after driving car into Hamilton crowd

A man has been charged after a car was driven into a crowd of people in Hamilton on Sunday night.

Detective Sergeant Will Loughrin of Hamilton CIB said an 18-year-old was charged this afternoon on three counts of injury with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He also faces charges of drink driving, failing to render assistance and driving while disqualified. He was to appear in the Hamilton District Court this afternoon.
