Christchurch fire crews have been dealing with a house fire next to the bottom terminal of the city's gondola.

Emergency services received several calls from the public about the fire on Bridle Path Road in Heathcote Valley, at about 4am this morning.
The fire service says the house has been vacant since the earthquakes and there were no reports of any injuries.
The blaze has been contained and is not thought to be suspicious, although an investigator has been called in to examine the scene.
