One person is dead after two vehicles collided in Hawkes Bay tonight.
The crash occurred at Waipawa on State Highway 2, which is closed while police investigate the cause of the crash.
Earlier, a person died at the scene of a two car crash on State Highway One at Wairakei, north of Taupo.
The holiday road toll stands at ten.
